Beyond the Stage: A Story of Style, Setbacks & Showcase

From USA to Canada to India to Thailand: The Journey
In October 2023, I traveled to India with the goal of designing and styling Miss World Bulgaria, Kristiyana Yordanova, for the Miss World stage in Mumbai.
While the designs were ready and the vision was clear, pageant politics took an unexpected turn — and we were unable to present our work during the event in February 2024.
But fashion, like any art, always finds its moment.
Six months later, some of these creations were finally brought to light at Miss Global International 2024 in Thailand — a platform where Kristiyana shone in both Aaizaa garments and exclusive jewelry styling.
The Creative Vision
The designs were originally conceptualized to reflect strength, sensuality, and elegance — values I saw in Kristiyana and wanted to emphasize through structure, movement, and detail.
Not all designs were worn in full, and some elements didn’t make it to the runway. But each piece — even in part — carried the intention and aesthetic of what I envisioned through Aaizaa.
Jewelry Styling
Alongside the garments, I styled Kristiyana with curated jewelry from the Aaizaa archive — bold, timeless pieces that complemented both her pageant appearances and her personal style.
Some jewelry pieces were worn off-stage, for night outs, dinners, and campaign photoshoots — moments that made the designs feel lived-in, personal, and fluid beyond a single event.
Captured Moments
The campaign photos were shot by Kristiyana’s selected photographer and reflect her narrative as she stepped into the Miss Global spotlight.
Though I don’t have full visuals of every look, I’m sharing a few key glimpses of what was designed, styled, and worn — both formally and informally.

Final Thoughts
Design is more than what makes it to the runway. It’s what lives on — in photos, in memories, in movement.
Though these pieces didn’t unfold exactly as planned, I’m proud to have seen them worn with confidence, grace, and personal flair. This project reminded me that setbacks don’t stop style — they reshape it.
Thank you to Kristiyana for carrying the vision, and to everyone who continues to support the work behind Aaizaa.
With love,
